Outsert Tutorial (SuperTip/LH bodies) by Chiben Empty Outsert Tutorial (SuperTip/LH bodies) by Chiben

Feel free to ask here. I was super tired when I made this. Short FAQ below. Any useful ideas will be added to this post so keep asking below. Thanks.

Q: WTF. YOU DIDN'T INCLUDE RULER AND PENCIL IN THE MATERIALS THEN YOU EVENTUALLY USE IT? YOU TRYIN' TO FOOL ME?
A: Sorry. I was too tired.

Q: Why did you have to measure both sides?
A: Pen/Marker bodies may look completely straight, but often times they have a slight "cone" to them. The back part is usually thicker to allow the pen to accept the cap and not allow it to fall by giving it a snug fit. BOTTOMLINE, JUST CHECK IT. It doesn't hurt to take precautionary measures.

Q: Will this work on any pen or marker body?
A: Yes. This method is showing you how to measure the pen's dimensions required to wrap it with an outsert. If you measure it right, you can wrap any pen body with an outsert.

Q: Why are outserts not that popular?
A: When doing outserts you are required to "seal" the design to the body. One way to do that is to cover it in tape, then wrap it around the body, sort of laminating it. Some people like the feel of spinning the surface of a scotch tape, some don't. It also adds to the weight near the center of the pen, meaning less momentum for spins.

Q: The insert was too short/overlapping. What am I doing wrong?
A: It's either your measurement or your cutting skills that need work on. If you're having problems cutting precisely try using a blade cutter instead of scissors. Take it slow and you're gonna be fine. If you're measurements keep screwing up then here are 2 things to take note of:
-I used masking tape since it does not stretch too much. If you measured something then record it on a piece of stretchy material, just one soft tug to it and your measurement is now useless. Tip, if a masking tape is too stretchy for you or you have heavy hands, try something more sturdy.
